About Oaks Day
Oaks Day is the third big day of the Spring Racing Carnival, after Derby Day and Melbourne Cup Day. It is known for its fashion and its social atmosphere, and many groups plan the whole day around it.
Arrive the way you meant to
When you have put real effort into the outfit, the last thing you want is a long walk, a crowded queue or a windblown car park. A chauffeur collects you from your door, and drops you off ready for the day. Your driver can also take care of the pick-up for the last guest or an early departure if plans change.
Perfect for groups
- Friends celebrating a birthday or a hens' day.
- Colleagues enjoying a team outing.
- Family members gathering from different suburbs.
- Clients and guests hosted by a business.
The Executive Van seats up to 7 and the Mercedes Sprinter up to 12. For a smaller party, a Luxury SUV takes up to 5 and a Luxury Sedan up to 3.
Plan the pick-ups
If your group is starting from several addresses, tell us the order and the times. We plan the route around the list. Ask for a return time with some flexibility. Race days run late, and the best plan is one that does not rely on a rush.
A full day or a transfer
For a day with a brunch, the racing and an evening dinner, hourly hire keeps the car and driver with you, from 3 hours up to 12. For a simpler day, book a transfer there and another home with our instant quote.
Check the official details
Dress codes, entry and road arrangements are set by the organisers and can change. Please check the Victoria Racing Club and Public Transport Victoria websites for the latest, and see our Melbourne chauffeur service for how we work.
